WETLANDS FESTIVAL

Longfellow’s Wetlands Festival is an opportunity to explore and learn about the nature and characteristics of wetlands. During September, the wetlands serve as a theme for the curricular areas and culminates in a day long festival. The entire school participates at three different wetlands sites. Over twenty professional and parent volunteers lead students through a wide variety of activities. Students gain an appreciation of the many environmental issues facing our wetlands. The Wetlands Festival is supported by Montana Water Course, International Project Wet, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Bozeman Public Schools, and the City of Bozeman.
